Utah Judicial Council Handing Out Get Out of Jail FREE Cards to Domestic Violence Offenders, Drunk Drivers

The Utah Judicial Council is busy handing out Get Out of Jail Free Cards to dangerous offenders with zero regard to public safety. New soft on crime bail policies issued by the Council are impacting public safety by releasing offenders on no bail at all or a minimum of $5,000 bail for any felony offense — even those charged with distribution of child pornography.

Steve Garcia – Domestic Aggravated Assault, Theft, Drug Possession, Burglary Tools…FREE TO GO.

Nolan Coller – DUI Drugs or Alcohol, DUI for a restricted driver (prior offense), Interlock Driver (prior offense), speeding…FREE TO GO

Giovanni Vaca – Fail to Stop for Police, DUI Drugs or Alcohol, Driving on Suspended License, Drug Possession, Interlock Device (prior offense)…FREE TO GO

Failures of the Utah Judicial Council Guidelines

ZERO Deterrent for Repeat Offenders.
ZERO concern for victims of crime.
REDUCES Criminal Accountability.
REMOVES Judicial Discretion.
MAX Bail of $5,000 for ANY Felony Offense
Dangerous, Reckless, and a Taxpayer Burden
